Below is information about Caitlin McCarthy's three feature film screenplays:

* WONDER DRUG is inspired by the true story of the drug DES (diethylstilbestrol), seen as a medical miracle to help women with pregnancy issues and one of the first cash cows for pharmaceutical companies – but which was in fact a toxic, carcinogenic drug and one of the biggest medical disasters in history, affecting millions of people worldwide. Set in Boston, Massachusetts, WONDER DRUG interweaves the lives of a Big Pharma executive, a feminist doctor, and thirtysomething newlyweds across three different decades. Currently in development with producer/star Alysia Reiner and Oscar-nominated director Joan Stein Schimke.

* In RESISTANCE, the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia and the horrors of Auschwitz are seen through the eyes of one girl, forced to grow up quickly as she moves from the school yard to the concentration camp, working for the Resistance along the way. Currently in development with Populus Pictures and director Si Wall.

* CAPE COD LITE is about how one young woman survives the Cape's not-so-quaint off-season and learns that sometimes what we need is staring us right in the face...if only we would look. Currently at script stage.
