Upcoming BBC Scotland TV Program

Rebecca Curran, a  journalist for BBC Scotland, recently interviewed screenwriter Caitlin McCarthy about DES and her feature screenplay WONDER DRUG for a television piece that will air towards the end of June.

There have been calls in the UK for a public inquiry into DES, as well as a public awareness campaign, ever since Scotland's former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon included Stilbestrol (DES) in her historic 2023 apology to the forced adoption victims.

Caitlin testified before members of Scottish Parliament last year, requesting that DES be included in Sturgeon's apology.

Caitlin is currently working with Congressman Jim McGovern on securing an apology from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the DES drug disaster as well as the restoration of funding for the DES Follow-Up Study.
