LITTLE AUDREY Rolls Cameras — Original Screenplay by Caitlin McCarthy

Little Audrey, a supernatural spiritual mystery inspired by the true story of Audrey Santo, officially began production on July 21! This marks the first produced feature film written by screenwriter Caitlin McCarthy.

The film is directed and produced by Michael Mailer (Heart of Champions, Netflix Top 10) and produced by Jeff Thomas (who originated the project) and John Buffalo Mailer (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps). With this powerhouse team behind the camera, it’s no surprise that Little Audrey has assembled an equally stellar cast:

Emily VanCamp (Marvel's Agent 13, The Resident)
Jennifer Esposito (Crash, Blue Bloods, Fresh Kills)
Aidan Quinn (Legends of the Fall, Practical Magic, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee)
Josh Bowman (Revenge, Doctor Who, Miranda’s Victim)
Ciaran Byrne (The Second Sun, TNT’s Public Morals)
Robert Wahlberg (Mystic River, The Departed)
✨ And introducing Mabel Byrne in her film debut

Fun fact for fans of Revenge: Emily VanCamp and Josh Bowman are back on screen together as love interests — their first time doing so since that ABC hit. Yes, the chemistry’s back. And yes, they’re married in real life.

Little Audrey centers on a Vatican investigation into reported miracles surrounding a teenage girl with akinetic mutism — based on the real-life story of Audrey Santo. For Caitlin, this isn’t just subject matter — it’s personal. She grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts, where the Santo home became a local legend. Friends and family visited. The story stuck. It was more than folklore — it was part of her lived experience.

Producer Jeff Thomas has followed Audrey Santo’s story since the 1990s and even witnessed reported miracles firsthand. Feeling compelled to share it with the world, he hired Caitlin to write the original screenplay — and the result is now being brought to life on screen.

This milestone marks Caitlin’s produced feature screenwriting debut, and she couldn’t be more proud. There’s much more to come from the set, but for now, one thing is clear: Little Audrey is officially happening — and it promises to be something truly special.
